Additional driver | Enterprise Minilease

Is it possible to add a second driver?

An additional driver is generally included in the rental at Enterprise Minilease, provided that they live in the same household.

To add the second driver to the rental agreement, we kindly ask for all relevant information such as ID/passport and driver's license during the rental process. These details are necessary to make the necessary adjustments to the rental agreement.

Step by step instructions:

1. Secondary Driver Registration: General Information
At Enterprise Minilease, you have the option to register one or more secondary drivers for your vehicle. This option provides you with the flexibility to share the vehicle with colleagues, family members, or friends.

2. Free Registration for Secondary Drivers with the Same Address
If your secondary driver resides at the same address as you, the registration is free. This allows you to share the vehicle with individuals who are registered at the same residence.

3. Registration for Secondary Drivers at Different Addresses
If your secondary driver does not reside at the same address, you can still register them. There is a reasonable additional charge of CHF 120.- per month for this option. This expands your usage possibilities and gives you the freedom to share the vehicle with secondary drivers of your choice.

4. Early Announcement of Secondary Driver Registration
The registration of secondary drivers is mandatory and can be announced during the booking process. By announcing it early, you ensure that all necessary information for a smooth usage of the vehicle is available.

5. Steps for Secondary Driver Registration:
a. Inform us during the booking about the intention to register a secondary driver.

b. Provide the necessary information of the secondary driver, including name, address, and driver's license number. Additionally, supplying a copy of both sides of the secondary driver's driver's license is required to complete the registration.

c. Confirm the payment of any applicable surcharge for secondary drivers at different addresses.
Once added to the rental agreement, the second driver is permitted to drive the vehicle even without the primary renter, as long as the agreed-upon terms and conditions of use are followed.
