Cross-border journeys

Vehicles can be driven in all European countries except Albania, Belarus, Bosnia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Russia, Kaliningrad, Turkey and Ukraine.
There are no additional charges for cross-border journeys. No prior authorisation is required to leave the country with the vehicle.

Driving to an unauthorised country or returning the vehicle in another country without prior authorisation is subject to a penalty fee of CHF 5,000.00/3,000.00.
